- Send each assignment as it is completed unless other
arrangements have been made. Do not send "batches" of work all at one
time.
Click
on each forward arrow on a lesson page (If they are provided for you) to
locate all of the information and assignments. Don't always rely on
the "Table of Contents" to direct you to everything in the lessons.
- Leave assignments that cannot be sent via the
computer at the BROL office in Camrose or send by van from the school nearest
to your home. These assignments must be labeled with the
following:
- Name of sender
- Name of receiver of the
assignments
- Assignment title - complete
- Date
- Any specific instructions
- Let BROL know where you want materials sent - left at
the BROL office or sent to your nearest school.
- Click on all icons and check any web sites that are
mentioned in assignments and information.
- Include the web site information for all research.
These sources need to be acknowledged.
- Follow directions carefully in order to receive
complete marks and comments. Occasionally teachers will change the
order of units in a subject such as science.
- Complete all assignments and tests before proceeding
to the next unit.
- Put research information into your own words as much
as possible using quotation marks when words are copied in the same order as
they appear in the source.
- Contact your teacher if you need to work at a slower
pace or have your work modified in any way.
- Familiarize yourself with the BRO library and any
other student links as they can be very helpful for additional information.
- Use templates provided for various assignments such
as science activities. All diagrams, charts, and graphs should be
neatly constructed.
- Practice keyboarding. Programs are available
from BRO.
