• Submit assignments regularly and meet all deadlines.

• Expect to spend regular classroom time on your course/courses.  For example, a humanities course in  junior high integrates social studies (5-6 classes a week) and language arts (8-10 classes a week).  A high school class might normally be 40 to 80 minutes a day for a semester.

• Maintain weekly communication with your teacher or teachers

• Abide by the School Board Administrative Policy on Acceptable use of the wide area network and the internet (Administrative Procedure 140)

A user shall not:

• Give your username and/or password to anyone.

• Break in or attempt to break in to other computer networks.

• Create or share computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses or anything in like manner.

• Destroy other person's data.

• Conduct illegal activities via the network.

• Reveal personal addresses or phone numbers on the internet.

A user should:

• Be polite.  Do not write or send abusive messages to others.

• Use appropriate language.  Should not swear or use any other inappropriate language.

• Remember that electronic mail is not guaranteed to be private.  People who operate the system do have access to all mail.  Messages relating to or in support of illegal activities may be reported to the authorities.

• Some students may wish to take classes such as drama or physical education at a school near them.  It is the student and parents' responsibility to contact the principal of the school about arranging a "blended" program.  After review, permission may be denied, however.
