The project is based on the belief that technology, properly integrated with
learning, can improve student engagement and achievement. Our emphasis on
research (both finding and analyzing data and/or information),
communication (writing, presentations and video), and assessment (peer,
self-,) is based
on the belief that 21st Century Skills can best be taught
through Language Arts and Social Studies. While there has been
considerable research done in this area with students in elementary and
middle school classrooms, little has been done with high school students.
We believe our current high school students need to graduate with
excellent higher order thinking skills, collaborative and teamwork skills,
and knowledge of and ability to use productivity software.
