Courses Offered

The CCHS Culinary Arts Team has been in existence since 1992 and has been the home of many young culinarians whom have brought a reputation of excellence to the school. In order to offer this culinary art tradition, the CCHS Culinary Art Team experiments with fine food preparation and participates in culinary art events throughout Alberta. Competitions are generally arranged so that different teams from other schools can display their skills. A common event is arranged so that students are given a selection of food items from which they are required to create a meal.

The CCHS team competes in about four competitions each year and engages in other extracurricular activities such as: catering special events or learning different skills from chefs who we visit over the year or from chefs who come to our kitchen.
