Leigh Anne Williams

Ms. Williams has turned a passion for writing and literature into a career. After graduating from CCHS, she received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta. She then ventured to the East Coast and completed a Masters Degree in English from Dalhousie University, and a Bachelor of Journalism from King’s College in Halifax. Leigh Anne has taught English literature at the Alberta Vocational College in Edmonton and at Dalhousie University. She has worked as a copy editor for the Halifax Herald and the Globe and Mail. Her freelance writing has appeared in the Halifax Herald, This Magazine, Canadian Forum, the Toronto Star and TIME magazine. In 1999, Leigh Anne began working for the Canadian bureau of TIME in Toronto as a researcher and reporter. She is currently the news editor for the Quill and Quire, a magazine that explores Canada’s book publishing industry.
