James graduated from CCHS in 1979, and from the University of Alberta in 1983. He returned to Camrose to work in the family business, Central Agencies. That company has a tradition of community service. Now, as partner and increasingly the public face of the company, James continues that tradition. James believes in giving back to the community. He has been a generous and ongoing supporter of many Camrose charities and not for profit agencies. As well, he has served as a board member for Camrose Minor Sports, Camrose United Church, St. Mary’s Hospital, and the Battle River Community Foundation, among others. He has also coached several baseball and hockey teams. While doing so, his quiet support helped a number of young people participate who would otherwise not have done so. James and Val have two children, Kristen and Matthew.
