The Daysland School Travel Club was established in the fall of 2000 by Mrs. Florean and Mrs. Marler. We want our  students to experience international travel and develop both  knowledge and respect for other cultures.

The students receive credit for their travel club participation; for example, in 2003 our club traveled to Italy,  Costa Rica in 2004, Greece in 2006 and Germany and France in 2008.   Students will be expected to research an aspect of their trip and present it at one of our scheduled meetings.

We meet with the students to cover topics such as the culture, customs regulations, guidelines for packing and acceptable behaviour while on tour once a month between September and the time of travel. Topics  covered include: culture of the destination country, customs regulations, guidelines for packing and acceptable behaviour while on  tour. Fundraising activities help participants earn a portion of their trip cost and participation is voluntary.

We look forward to new members who are interested in traveling internationally as the experience is truly once in a lifetime.

Please contact either Mrs. Florean or Mrs. Marler at Daysland School if you have any questions.
