artistic, and physical excellence.
|
This mission statement guides the planning of instruction,
co-curricular and extra-curricular activities at Rosalind School.
Beliefs
At Rosalind School, we believe:
- We can make a positive difference in the life of every student.
- Students should be the focus of all our efforts. Every student is
important and none will be overlooked.
- It is important to foster the development of skills, abilities, and
attitudes which lead to a desire for life-long learning.
- Students should be provided a positive learning environment that
promotes their development and helps them become contributing,
positive members of society.
- All students should have the opportunity to experience a variety of
activities and programs to develop their skills, abilities, talents
and to accommodate their learning styles.
- Students should have high expectations set for them and receive
constant and ongoing feedback.
- Positive role models are important in instilling desirable values in
children.
- Everyone involved in the education of a child should work
cooperatively to provide a positive learning environment for students.
- Positive parental and community involvement is important to student
success.
- All students and all staff are entitled to work in a safe, orderly
environment, where they feel comfortable, accepted, and respected.
- Students and staff should be able to do their best and achieve their
goals without fear for their physical or mental well being.
- That students should be offered quality programs in adherence to
Alberta Learning and BRSD #31 requirements, and that those programs
reflect community wishes and expectations.
- Quality programs should be maintained and delivered at the Rosalind
School, limiting the necessity for transportation to other schools in
BRSD #31.

them become contributing, positive members of society.
-
The focus will be on providing all students
with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that they need to be successful
citizens in a changing world which requires their meaningful contribution to
a local, national, and larger global community.

efforts of the student-parent-teacher team, success will be possible for
all.
