Strome School provides educational programming for approximately 80 students in Grades 1 to 9. Grades 1 to 8 students have split grade homerooms, while our Grade 9 students take their core subject areas as a single grade. Complementary courses (Art, Music, Health and some Physical Education, are triple graded so that a variety of complementary courses can be offered. Last year our junior high students participated in Music, Drama and locally developed CTS modules. We have an active intramural house league with every student belonging to a team and a strong intramural program for the junior highs, and after-school teams for volleyball and basketball. The school itself boasts a nice bright Library, a Science Lab, a modern Computer Lab, Gym and adequate student space. Our school is very clean, warm and inviting. Student results on provincial achievement exams remains high in most subject areas. Our teaching staff set high standards for their students, and themselves, and provide excellent instruction, assessment and remediation for all students.

Strome School has tremendous support from the entire community. Our students are able to enjoy and take part in many great opportunities due to the generosity and support of a number of community sponsors, parent volunteers and corporate sponsors. Throughout the year our students are given many opportunities to see new things, and we travel to neighboring schools for presentations.
