BATTLE RIVER SCHOOL DIVISION invites applications in anticipation of potential vacancies:
POSITION: TEACHER - French Immersion Pool
Battle River School Division serves the educational needs of 6000 students including the following educational programs:
- 19 Traditional Schools,
- Dual Track French Immersion Schools,
- 10 Colony Schools,
- An Online School,
- Two Outreach Schools.
There is potential need for FIM Teachers in various locations within the Division. A pool of qualified candidates will be established to fill these positions as they become open. We strongly encourage candidates to apply as soon as possible.
This posting is open to Internal and External candidates.
Preferred Applicants for K-12 positons will have:
- a demonstrated fluency and facility (both oral and written) in French and English
- training and experience in French Immersion
- strong interpersonal and relational skills with students.
- a proven ability to work collaboratively as part of an educational team
- a willingness and ability to be involved in all aspects of the overall school program.
- a willingness to support FIM parents
- strong communication skills
- a passion for promoting and being am ambassador of the French Language & Culture in the School Division
Early Learning & ECS
- a major program concentration in the area of early childhood education, a kindergarten methodology course or equivalent training/experience
- strong interpersonal and relational skills with young children
- experience in Balanced literacy, music and Assessment for Learning would be an asset
Elementary
- a major program concentration in the area of elementary education, methodology courses or equivalent training / experience
- strong interpersonal and relational skills with children
- experience in Balanced literacy, music and Assessment for Learning would be an asset
Secondary
- a major program concentration in the area of secondary education, methodology courses or equivalent training/experience.
