How to Apply

1. Set Up a Secure Online Application Account

(either as an Agent account or as a Personal Account)

2. Complete all of the information in the online application and upload all of the required documents.

3. Submit your application online.

NOTE: The online application will not allow you to submit the application until all of the necessary documents have been uploaded.

4. Upon receipt of your COMPLETED application and application fee, we will provide you with an official letter of Acceptance to Battle River School Division.

You will need to use this Letter of Acceptance in order to apply for a Study Permit from Citizen and Immigration Canada.

(fee includes busing costs (if needed) as well as school fees)

$10,650 per school year or

$5,325 per semester (high school only)

It is the student's responsibility to meet all of the other costs associated with attending a Battle River School Division school for example optional field trips or participating in school activities/sports.

Health Insurance (mandatory)

$595 per school year or

$300 per semester (high school only)

Homestay Placement Fee

$450 (for new students)

$250 (for returning students)

Homestay Accommodation Fee (room and board)


Homestay extra days

$7750 per school year or

$3875 per semester (high school only)

$35.00 a day

Airport Transfer Fee

$300 (from Edmonton International)

Re-Validation Fee (may be required for Brazilian/Spanish/Mexican students)

Refund Policy (temporarily revised for COVID-19)


  • Your study permit is denied or you are denied entrance to Canada:  If you are unable to come to Canada for reasons that are out of your control*, you will receive a full tuition refund (less a $250 Refund Processing Fee).
  • The program is cancelled by Battle River School Division before the start date of your program: you will receive a full refund (less a $250 Refund Processing Fee)
  • You Withdraw or are Withdrawn from Battle River School Division: Once your program has begun as per the Duration of Program (study) dates on the letter of acceptance, no refund will be given.
  • Late Arrivals: When a student arrives late, there will be no refund for the time period missed.

*Please note:  if Canada is deemed to be safe to visit by Canadian government agencies, we will revert to our standard refund policy of refunding 2/3 of the tuition payment if a student withdraws before the start date of the program.

Please ensure you have read and understand our refund policy. If:

  • Your Study Permit is denied: You will receive a full tuition and homestay accommodation fee refund (less a $250 administration fee), if your Study Permit application is denied by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. A copy of the rejection letter must be submitted with the refund request.
  • You cannot attend for other reasons: You will receive two-thirds (2/3) refund of the tuition and homestay accommodation fees if you withdraw prior to the commencement of classes as per the Duration of Study (program) dates on the letter of acceptance.
  • You withdraw or are expelled from the Battle River School Division Program or Canada Homestay International Program: Once classes have begun, no refund will be given.
  • Late arrivals: When a student arrives late, there will be no refund for the time period missed.
